ABOUT THIS EVENT

The NYC Beerathon is an annual tradition in its ninth year. The original idea behind the Beerathon was to create a marathon event in November for those of us whose enthusiasm for running includes making a beer-run. So, come participate, rock out all day with beers, great food, music, and the most fun you can have legally. You’ll leave with some great memories.

A portion of ALL proceeds will go to non-profit and charitable organizations.

Your ticket gets you:

Discounted pricing on 26 different craft, premium or better beers (pay as you go)
An all-access VIP pass to all venues to mark your progress
A map to guide your way
The company of complete strangers who are all participating in this ridiculous annual tradition

Original House Rules:

Pay as you go. All beers are discounted. If you pay in rounds, each bar a new person from a group takes turns buying the round. The person buying the round is in control: (1) buy the designated discounted beer, or (2) throw a curveball at your group and order something difficult (ie. Cranberry lambics are fair game). No one is safe.
First to finish their beer from a group at each bar becomes the pace leader. Pace leader can be challenged at each new bar. First to finish holds up their empty signaling to their group that they have 5 minutes left to finish their beers before moving on. Don't pound your beer, unless you're a jerk.
Make friends, be nice, make out. No belligerent behavior. It's the camaraderie and friendship that makes a Beerathon so great.
Mind your training. Don't come unprepared.
Survive. You ran a good run. Stop when you're maxed out.
...Or do whatever the hell you want. Remember, it's about friendship and beers, so just have fun.
